Niacin

Niacin (B3) is necessary for the health of the digestive system, the skin (the barrier to the world, and furthest reach of the sensory system!), and the nerves

It is needed in the manufacture of sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone) which means niacin plays a role in overall ovarian, testicular, and adrenal health.

Niacin's main role is in the synthesis of prostaglandins from essential fatty acids.  Prostaglandins are produced within the body's tissue and play a key role in fighting infection, forming blood clots, regulating smooth muscle contraction, & regulating air passageways.

Niacin is also needed in the repair of DNA
